The European Tech Weekly Notable Startup Funding Report takes on a trip across various ecosystems in Europe, highlighting some of the notable funding activity in the various markets that we track. The notable European Tech startup fundings for the week ending 29/4/23 featuring funding details for Seatfrog, Kluster, CarbonChain, and five other European deals representing £75M in new funding that you absolutely need to know about.


CarbonChain – $10.0M

London-based CarbonChain’s AI platform automates emissions tracking in carbon-heavy supply chains for a net-zero economy. Founded by Adam Hearne, Jeremiah Smith, Roheet Shah, and Yury Oparin in 2019, CarbonChain has now raised a total of $10.1M in total equity funding and is backed by Union Square Ventures and Voyager Ventures.


HIVED – $12.4M

London-based Hived is a supply chain, logistics, and delivery company offering a sustainable parcel delivery service. Founded by Mathias Krieger and Murvah Iqbal in 2020, HIVED has now raised a total of $14.8M in total equity funding and is backed by A.P. Moller, Eka Ventures, Pale Blue Dot, and Planet A Ventures.


HumanForest – £7.0M

London-based HumanForest is a dockless, shared, and ad-supported e-bike service company. Founded by Agustin Guilisasti, Caroline Seton, and Michael John Stewart Ackermann in 2020, HumanForest has now raised a total of £12.4M in total equity funding and is backed by LarrainVial, Laura Gonzalez-Estefani, Santa Cecilia, and Vicente Pascual.


Kluster – $5.0M

London-based Kluster offers data-driven sales analytics and forecasting solutions, helping B2B SaaS companies optimize their sales process. Founded by Daniel Thompson and Rory Brown in 2016, Kluster has now raised a total of $6.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Foresight Group, James Isilay, and SuperSeed Ventures.

Founded by Griffin Parry and John Griffin in 2020, m3ter has now raised a total of $31.5M in total equity funding and is backed by Insight Partners, Kindred Capital, Notion Capital, and Union Square Ventures.


Seatfrog – £6.0M

London-based Seatfrog offers a mobile platform for users to upgrade train seats through auctions, enhancing their travel experience. Founded by Ben Ient, Dirk Stewart, and Iain Griffin in 2016, Seatfrog has now raised a total of $23.2M in total equity funding and is backed by Octopus Ventures, Pembroke VCT, and Praetura Ventures.


TopHat.Io – £20.0M

London-based TopHat.Io is a technology-driven modular housing manufacturing. Founded by Jordan Rosenhaus and Krishan Pattni in 2016, TopHat.Io has now raised a total of £95.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Aviva Ventures.


Wayhome – £8.0M

London-based Wayhome offers a debt-free way to buy a home with just a 5% deposit and no mortgage. Founded by Josef Wasinski, Nigel Purves, and Ray Rafiq Omar in 2016, Wayhome has now raised a total of £21.1M in total equity funding and is backed by Allianz X, Augmentum Fintech, Cur8 Capital, Love Ventures, and Volution.
