Laka, is a bicycle insurance company that is powered by the cyclist community. Members pay a monthly fee, and the maximum fee is fixed ensuring members will never have to pay too much. It just raised $1.5M in Seed round funding led by Tune Project and including participation from 500 Startups, bringing the total amount raised to $1.8M over three rounds for the startup founded in 2017 by Ben Allen, Jens Hartwig, and Tobias Taupitz.
